Two Seton Hall University students were mugged on Ward Place Oct. 22 and South Orange police later arrested the alleged robbers in Newark.
Chris Brown and Tyree Adkins allegedly approached the male students on foot at 11:47 p.m., police said.
During the robbery, one of the assailants brandished a silver pellet gun and stuck it into the back of one of the students, according to police.
The two were ordered to empty their pockets by Brown and Adkins who took their money and fled on Ward Place toward South Orange Avenue, authorities reported.
The victims notified police and gave a description of Brown, 18, and Adkins, 19, both of Newark.
Police said they found the teens walking on South Orange Avenue near Poe Avenue. After a foot chase, both were apprehended on Hazelwood Avenue.
The two college students, later brought to the scene, identified Brown and Adkins as the two who robbed them, police said.
