Robert E. Pincus
Robert E. Pincus, 91, died March 5 at home in South Orange, where
he lived for 48 years. Mr. Pincus was born in Coney Island, N.Y. He
graduated from the City College of New York and received a master’s
degree in accounting from New York University. He served in the
U.S. Army in Italy and North Africa during World War II and worked
as an agent with the Internal Revenue Service. A certified public
accountant, he worked at the Mycalex Corporation of America,
Clifton, from 1952 until his retirement, for many years as the
company’s treasurer and controller. Mr. Pincus was a longtime
member of Temple B’nai Abraham. Mr. Pincus is survived by his wife
of 50 years, Elaine; two sons, Howard and Jonathan; a brother,
Leonard Pincus; a sister, Elaine Shames; and three
grandchildren.
