DESCRIPTION:The Adult School is offering classes on financial fitness,
  including advice on education planning and surviving a layoff. You ca
 n learn ways to manage, save and make more money than ever before.\n\n
 On Thursday, March 25, the Adult School will present \"Financial Indep
 endence Begins With a Plan.\" The class will cover retirement planning
 , asset allocation and education planning.\n\nA step-by-step guide to 
 education planning on Tuesday, April 13, will help you identify how mu
 ch you'll need to save for your family's educational needs, establish 
 a savings plan and implement a savings strategy. The class will also e
 xplore 529 plans, education savings accounts and other investment vehi
 cles.\n\nLearn how to survive a layoff on Tuesday, May 4. What you do 
 immediately after receiving word that you've lost your job can make a 
 big difference in how you will be able to support yourself and your fa
 mily. Class will include information on severance, cash flow, unemploy
 ment benefits, Social Security options, financial planning and retirem
 ent plan choices and opportunities.\n\nThese financial advice classes 
 are being offered for the Adult School by Richard A. Cohen and Matthew
  R. Zhilitsky, financial planning specialists, Morgan Stanley Smith Ba
 rney. The classes are 7-9 p.m. at South Orange Middle School. The fee 
 for each class is $15.\n\nYou can also discover 20 ways to make money.
  James W. Farnham, a professional speaker and author, will uncover the
  secrets of residual income on Saturday, April 24. The course covers f
 inancial markets, insurance, taxes, retirement income, how to become c
 ash rich and house poor, your mortgage and OPM (other people's mortgag
 es), on demand publishing, internet, home-based businesses and much mo
