The administrative office at the South Orange-Maplewood school district released a statement via email May 18 about teacher evaluations and the tenure process after students, faculty and parents recently protested to save the jobs of South Orange Middle School social studies teachers Kathleen McCort and Steven Cohen, who were denied tenure.

Seton Hall University has offered office space to the village in an off-campus building on Centre Street during the time that Village Hall will be closed for renovations later this year.
